Ledyard High School Football Hall of Fame

Purpose
The name of this organization is the Ledyard High School Football Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame has been organized as a way of maintaining the rich tradition of football at Ledyard High School. It will serve as a means of recognizing, preserving, and honoring the athletes, coaches, and individuals who made significant contributions to the football program. The Ledyard High School Football Hall of Fame will acknowledge the contributions and accomplishments of the individuals who are worthy of such recognition and examples for others to emulate.

Criteria
Individuals and teams may be nominated for their outstanding participation, achievement, and/or service in the football program at Ledyard High School. Individuals must have demonstrated character on and off the field and continue or continued to be a productive member of society.

  1. Player: Any person/team who distinguished himself in the sport of football while they were a student at Ledyard High School. Eligibility begins 5 years after graduation or championship season for a nominated team.

  2. Coach: Any coach with at least 10 years experience within the Ledyard High School football program. The nominee must be inactive and removed from the coaching staff for 3 years. Criteria for consideration should be based on accomplishments that merit statewide recognition or significant contributions to the football program.

  3. Contributor: Any individual who has made outstanding contributions to the Ledyard High School football program other than coaching and playing.
