Trip to Québec 2011
Monday, March 28, 2011

French students from the middle school and high school went to Québec February 21 -24. There were thirty-two participants from both the high school and middle school who experienced Québécois life and culture. They went dog sledding, snowshoeing, danced to traditional music and ate traditional food. They learned how to make maple syrup and maple butter. They even visited a high school and made friends with students from Québec. They also went through the tunnels at L’Université Laval and went on a scavenger hunt at a grocery store where they were forced to communicate in French. One of the highlights every time this trip takes place is tubing. This is where one takes a tube lift to the top of a large hill and descends the hill either solo on their tube or they hold onto each others’ tubes and go down together. It is an experience that one wants to repeat over and over. This year, the weather was fabulous and the participants will tell you that they truly enjoyed themselves.
